Dynasty Review: Remake Series an Emotional Roller Coaster

ACW reboot of the 1980’s series, Dynasty has taken its audience by storm. Filled with short-lived relationships, family drama, affairs, substance abuse, action, badbusiness deals and a racially and sexually diverse cast of characters, Dynasty is nothing short of exhilarating.

From inception, the audience is introduced to the show’s protagonists. Heiress Fallon Carrington (Elizabeth Gillies) and her brother, Steven Carrington (James Mackay) are summoned by their father, Blake Carrington (Grant Show) to meet his soon-to-be wife, and their new step-mother, Cristal Flores (Nathalie Kelley).

With her heart set on her dream job, the COO position in her family’s multi-billion-dollar corporation, Fallon gets the shock of her life when her father gives the job to his former secretary and his new wife, Cristal. Feeling betrayed, this alone causes a domino effect of trouble for the family and all associated parties.

Watching Dynasty has been a roller coaster of emotions for me. Seeing characters develop, stories unfold and the untimely cliffhangers have all added to the glamorous bouillon that is Dynasty. If you enjoy intense drama, Dynasty is a definite must watch!
