Too often we tell ourselves, “I cannot”, and so we never reach our true potential.  There are some people who never limit themselves to mere circumstantial situations but set their minds to accomplish a dream and live it. Dazzle would like to introduce one such person. His name is Junior Ricardo Joseph – 33-year-old avid and determined business owner.

Junior is the owner and manager of ‘Beyond Limits Design Construction Ltd’. The company’s tag line, “Restricted Only by the Mind’s Eye”, is quite fitting for this young entrepreneur who believes “you have to be ready to assume the challenge and to stick with it”.

Junior was born and raised in the community of Marchand but now resides in Monchy, Gros-Islet. Junior recounts his school days as fun and daring as he admitted to, “giving a lot of trouble”. Nonetheless he was a passionate and disciplined athlete, who dominated the field as a long distance runner. He first attended the St Aloysius R C Boys Infant and Primary Schools, then the Sir Ira Simmons Secondary School. He later attended Sir Arthur Lewis Community College and is now enrolled with the University of Reading.

When Dazzle asked him to share his original career path, Junior exclaimed, “I was always interested in construction!”

His introduction into the field was through his next-door neighbour, Mr. Edward, who at the time was employed with Peter & Company.

“He employed me as a labourer and from there I was able to understand the industry, including the jargon.” Junior recalled.

His interest was always in owning his own business. After years of working in the construction industry, gaining extensive experience and being employed by others, Junior decided to build his dream and opened his own company.

“I saw the viability of the industry, so I decided to branch out. It was a tough decision to make but life is full of risks and challenges – so I took it on!” Junior explained. “I also want to make the industry even more viable by setting up an association for construction, this way, I believe I can make a difference.” He added. ‘Beyond Limits Design Construction Ltd’ offers a full range of construction services including designing and building of residential, industrial and commercial properties, maintenance, civil works and consultation and project management.

Junior aspires for his company to be one of the best, “not in the sense of earning millions of dollars but in providing a product that is sustainable and meets customer standards,” he said.

He also hopes to help low income earners by building houses which are affordable. This, he believes can be done by providing a payment plan for potential homeowners. Junior says however, this dream will only be possible with enough financial support.

Junior also co-owns ‘Route 69’,located in Bois D’Orange, where he spends his Friday evenings and invites everyone to stop by.

A young, ambitious man whom we wish immeasurable success, Junior urges young entrepreneurs to go for it! “If you have a dream, no matter how small, start somewhere until you can achieve those big goals. In achieving goals, invest wisely and stay focused!” he said.

Although sometimes wishing for more hours in a day, he is thankful for what he is able to accomplish daily. There is so much more that Junior would like to do and one thing is for sure he is not limited by the mind’s eye.
